A Tribute to Halloween!

This Halloween was a real treat or trick , I can't decide! We went to a neighborhood Halloween party the Saturday before Halloween, which forced me to get costumes ready. It was really fun, the kids had a good time. On Monday Emma got sick. We also carved pumpkins Monday night. On Tuesday Carter got sick. He puked for 2 days, which landed him a 6 hour ER visit. By Friday afternoon we thought he was going to be able to Trick or Treat. As if being really sick for 2 1/2 days wasn't enough, Friday evening he stepped on a rock and sliced the bottom of his foot open. So, at 4:45 on Halloween, off to Instacare we went. 2 stitches later and with a numb foot we let Carter go Trick or Treating. I just couldn't let him miss out on all the fun after such a horrible week. Now Danny and I are enjoying the sugar high our kids will be on for the next week. Gotta love Halloween!
